  1. Paul Vaughn Butterfield (December 17, – May 4, ) was an American blues harmonica player, singer and band leader. After early training as a classical flautist, he developed an interest in blues harmonica. He explored the blues scene in his native Chicago, where he met Muddy Waters and other blues greats, who provided encouragement and opportunities for him to join in jam sessions.
  2. Bloomfield's guitar work is not especially compelling here, and Dr. John supplies his wonderful keyboard playing but doesn't sing a note. Hammond is not a particularly gifted vocalist, and his work here is nothing special. The inclusion of such overly-familar blues songs as "It Hurts Me Too" and "Rock Me Baby" adds to the sense of disappointment/5(23).
